project progress: production

farce. is a series of postcards featuring the reversal of dominance between human and non-human animal. non-human animals selectively exploited by humans, such as horses for transport and deer for sport/hunting, are replaced with humans to fit the role of the exploited.

farce. is exactly what the postcard collection portrays. it is an iconoclastic parody of the human's conditioned hegemony over the other life in his environment presented in a simple way that we can all connect with.

I decided to play around with the website a little bit. I know the original idea was for it to be simple allowing people to concentrate on the idea behind the project as opposed to the website itself, but I can't help myself. So expect some sprucing up of this sorry thing. -Alex

I have finished the 3rd image. The colour and layout is done, but keep in mind that these will probably change depending on my mood and suggestions of others, so the way they are right now, doesn't mean that it is what the final postcard will look like. I think that is all from me for today. Bye! -Alex

We've received a couple of requests for larger preview images of the artwork, so we had to comply, but not without large watermarks. So now you can click on the thumbnails to get a larger and better view. Also the 4th card is beggining to get some colour, so check it out. -Alex

farce. is in the production stage at the moment, with two images completed and two more in the design/illustration stage. the subject and motive behind the series is undoubtedly fun to explore and the scenarios are endless. hence, our ideas are abundant and we hope to get them organised and illustrated soon... -Nikk & Alex
